Industrial Visits: Insights and Opportunities for Learning and Networking



An industrial visit, known as an industrial tour or factory visit, is an educational excursion organized for students, professionals, or interested individuals to visit industrial facilities, such as factories, manufacturing plants, or research centers. The purpose of an industrial visit is to provide participants with firsthand experience and insights into the operations, processes, and technologies employed in various industries.

During an industrial visit, participants typically have the opportunity to:

  • Observe production processes: Participants can witness how raw materials are transformed into finished products through various manufacturing processes.
  • Learn about industry practices: They can learn about industry-specific practices, standards, and regulations governing production, safety, and quality control.
  • Interact with industry professionals: Participants may engage in discussions with managers, engineers, technicians, and other professionals working in the industry to gain insights into their roles, responsibilities, and career paths.
  • Explore technological advancements: They can see the latest technologies and equipment used in the industry and learn about innovations driving progress and efficiency.

We do organize the Educational Tours to 

  • Reserve Bank of India- RBI's key functions are RBI Monetary Policy, Currency Issuance, Banker to the Government, Banking Regulation, Foreign Exchange Management, Developmental Functions. A documentary will be shown covering the detailed evolution of the currency system in India. If a curator is available, he will answer questions raised by the students, then students will proceed to the museum, where they will see currency of different times from the maurya empire till the date. Duration approximately an hour and fifteen minutes. Reserve Bank of India plays a crucial role in India's economic and financial system, contributing to the country's growth and stability.
  • National Stock Exchange-NSE is the biggest stock exchanges in India. We oganise visit to the National stock exchange where students will have an interactive sessions with the experts of NSE for approximately one and half hour. Interactive session includes the functioning, history and latest development being discussed.
  • Bombay Stock Exchange- BSE is Asia's Oldest Stock exchange. We oganise visit to the BSE where students will be able to to have session with COO of BSE Brokers Forum Dr. Aditya Shrinivas and there in they will be guided about the developments and operations of the stock exchange. We can also have one or two topics covered as per the requirement of the institution being covered in it. Duration will be approximately an hour.

  • LT Foods Ltd. (Daawat Basmati Rice), Amritsar: Students got an inside look at the processing stages of Basmati rice, from warehousing to the finished product. They learned about various units such as dehusking, polishing, and packaging, and were informed about sustainable practices like steam generation and rainwater harvesting.
  • Doordarshan Kendra, Jalandhar: This visit offered students a unique perspective on the broadcasting and media industry. They gained insights into the operational aspects of a television studio, including content creation, broadcasting technologies, and media management.
  • National Fertilizers Ltd, Nangal: An educational tour that provided an understanding of the chemical and fertilizer industry. Students observed the production process, learning about the manufacturing of fertilizers and the company’s role in the agricultural sector.
